Understanding The Feast Of Dedication And It's Observance

THE FEAST OF DEDICATION (HANUKKAH) IS A HOLY DAY IN ISRAEL THAT IS KEPT ON THE 25TH DAY IN THE 9TH MONTH OF THE HEBREW YEAR ALSO KNOWN AS THE MONTH (KISLEV {W/CASLEU. THE FEAST OF DEDICATION STARTS AT EVEN (GENESIS 1:5) ON THE 25TH DAY OF THE 9TH MONTH AND IS TO BE OBSERVED WITH JOY, AND GLADNESS THROUGHOUT OUR GENERATIONS AS IT WAS A GREAT VICTORY OVER THE HEATHENS LED BY IDUMEA WHICH IS EDOM. READ 1ST MACCABEES 4:56-59. THIS WAS THE TIME WE TOOK BACK AND REDEDICATED OUR TEMPLE TO THE MOST HIGH GOD.

THE FEAST OF DEDICATION IS TO BE KEPT AS THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES IS KEPT WHICH IS BY THE SPACE OF 8 DAYS WITH THE FIRST AND LAST DAYS BEING SABBATHS AND HOLY CONVOCATIONS (GATHERINGS) READ 2ND MACCABEES 1:18 & LEVITICUS 23:34-39. MANY ISRAELITES HAVE SOUGHT TO CORRUPT THIS OBSERVANCE BY EITHER NOT ACKNOWLEDGING IT AS HOLY, SAYING YOU DON'T HAVE TO KEEP IT IN THE LAND OF YOUR CAPTIVITY OR BY MASS GIFT GIVING TO CHILDREN.

WE HERE AT LAW LIFE OBSERVE AND ACKNOWLEDGE THE FEAST OF DEDICATION AS OUR FORE-PARENTS DID, AND WE KEEP IT IN THE LANDS OF OUR CAPTIVITY. READ JOHN 10:22-23. OUR FORE-FATHER AND MESSIAH WAS OBSERVING THE FEAST OF DEDICATION IN A CAPTIVITY UNDER ROMAN RULE. WE DO NOT PARTAKE IN MASS GIFT GIVING TO CHILDREN BECAUSE IT IS A TRADITION OF MEN AND CAN NOT BE FOUND IN THE SCRIPTURE WHICH MAKES IT PAGAN. MASS GIFT GIVING DURING THIS TIME OF YEAR IS ALSO A WICKED WAY TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS AND HIDE IT UNDER THE NAME OF HANUKKAH OR THE FEAST OF DEDICATION. BE FOREWARNED TOUCH NOT THE UNCLEAN THING (2ND CORINTHIANS 6:17)!

NOTE: ON THE FIRST AND LAST DAY OF THIS HOLY DAY(FEAST) YOU CAN COOK, BUT NO WORKING, SELLING OR BUYING IS ALLOWED BECAUSE THOSE DAYS ARE COUNTED AS SABBATHS. IF THE 1ST AND/OR LAST DAY FALLS ON THE 7TH DAY SABBATH NO COOKING IS ALLOWED AS THE 7TH DAY SABBATH HAS SUPREMACY OVER ALL OTHER SABBATHS(EXODUS 20:9-10).

"And so they kept the dedication of the altar eight dayes, and offered burnt offerings with gladnesse, and sacrificed the sacrifice of deliuerance and praise.
57They deckt also the forefront of the temple with crownes of gold; and with shields, and the gates, and the chambers they renewed and hanged doores vpon them.
58Thus was there very great gladnesse among the people, for that the reproch of the heathen was put away.
59Moreouer Iudas and his brethren with the whole congregation of Israel ordained that the daies of the dedication of the altar, should be kept in their season from yeere to yeere by the space of eight dayes, from the fiue and twentieth day of the moneth Casleu, with mirth and gladnesse." ~1ST MACCABEES 4:56-59

"Therefore whereas we are nowe purposed to keep the purification of the Temple vpon the fiue & twentieth day of the moneth Casleu, we thought it necessary to certifie you thereof, that ye also might keepe it, as the feast of the tabernacles, and of the fire which was giuen vs when Neemias offered sacrifice, after that he had builded the Temple, and the Altar." ~2ND MACCABEES 1:18

"Now vpon the same day that the strangers prophaned the Temple, on the very same day it was cleansed againe, euen the fiue and twentieth day of the same moneth, which is Casleu.
6And they kept eight dayes with gladnes as in the feast of the Tabernacles, remembring that not long afore they had helde the feast of the Tabernacles, when as they wandered in the mountaines, and dennes, like beasts." ~2ND MACCABEES 10:5-6
{IT IS GOOD TO READ THE FULL CHAPTERS OF 1ST MACCABEES 4 & 2ND MACCABEES 10}

Do It Yourself Menorah Ideas For The Feast Of Dedication (Hanukkah)

REMEMBER THAT WE ONLY USE 7 BRANCH MENORAHS

Finding a Menorah sometimes can be very difficult not to mention expensive. Until you can find that perfect Menorah here are some DIY ideas for you and your families.
I took these from Brti+CO These are just ideas and please remember our Menorah is 7 branches not 9 or 12 or whatever else the heathen comes up with.
Exodus 25:37
"Then you shall make its lamps seven in number; and they shall mount its lamps so as to shed light on the space in front of it."

10. LEGO Menorah: It’s time to raid the kids’ LEGO collection to build this rad menorah. (via Apartment Therapy)

12. Rose Branch Candelabra: Okay, same with this one — but how beautiful would this be menorah-style? Very beautiful. (via A Subtle Revelry)
